The symposium will focus on current advances in the study of evolution of plants in mountainous and alpine habitats in various parts of the world. We will invite speakers on different topics, including mountain and alpine plant phylogeography, systematics and phylogeny of vascular plants in relation to mountain and alpine habitats, ecological factors influencing evolution at high altitudes, and conservation genetics of mountain and alpine endemic plants.
