Dr. Lauren McCall joins NESCent for a post-doctoral fellowship
On January 1, 2007, Dr. Lauren McCall joined NESCent as a post-doctoral fellow. Her research will focus on building a framework for the study of cultural evolution, with two objectives: to advance the construction of an ecologically informed, cross-cultural database to be used in comparative surveys to identify convergent character suites in cultural evolution, and to develop layered phylograms for depicting character suites in cultural and in biological systems as co-evolving lineages of developmental resources.
