SummaryEvolution Education at Historically Minority Universities (EEHMU) meeting


Location: NESCent, Durham, NC


There are several goals of this, the second meeting of the EEHMU Working Group:


1. To receive an update on challenges and issues associated with the teaching of Evolution at historically minority universities from the participants of the first EEHMU meeting, which was held in September of 2005.
2. To introduce new members of the group, from Barry University in Miami, FL, NC Central University in Durham, NC and Colorado State University in Pueblo, CO, as well as participants from NCEAS (the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis) and AIBS (the American Institute of Biological Sciences).
3. To explore potential collaborations with NCEAS and determine if the minority outreach efforts of NESCent and NCEAS overlap.
4. To establish specific sub-groups of 2-3 individuals who will focus on particular tasks or projects.
