Could life evolve in outerspace? NASA's Lynn Rothschild to give Darwin Day keynote in Raleigh Feb.12
Celebrate Darwin Day at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! Enjoy an afternoon of activities for all ages. From 12:00-5:00 PM, you can learn about famed naturalist Charles Darwin, take a closer look at his theories and their impact on modern science, and meet some of the scientists who are continuing his work. Throughout the day, Triangle area undergraduates, graduate students and postdocs will present their evolution research in an evolution poster contest. And at 2:00 PM, keynote speaker Dr. Lynn Rothschild (NASA Ames Research Center) will speak about astrobiology and the possibility of evolution of life in outer space.
