Various errors with Windows multithreaded versions
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect ..."
This error and some others with the multithreaded version can be caused by not having certain Windows libraries installed. Generally installing the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package" will often remedy this. These libraries are also used by other software, so they may be already installed on some systems.
Switching to a non-multithreaded version of the program should also avoid the error. See this info and see if you even want to use the multithreaded version: Should I use a multithreaded version?
